This Abaya is hand loomed by Ali, a 70 year old great grandfather who has been weaving since he was 10. Ali is an artist, in the way he never makes two Kimonos with the same color patterns even if he uses the same pallets. He believes every piece is a unique drawing and thus no two are alike.
This Abaya is not very heavy so it's great for those more chilly summer nights or a throw over anything you're wearing underneath to steal the show wherever you go or when you have guests over. You can wear it over jeans and a shirt or in the comfort of your home, to go grab something from your local market, to a party, a public speaking event.
